MYK2025 Poster Now Available — Faster, Cleaner, Simpler Reverse-Purification Fungal DNA Extraction Workflow for Keratinized Samples

New from MYK2025 (Cologne): a reverse-purification workflow that replaces multi-step spin-columns to deliver inhibitor-reduced, PCR-ready fungal DNA from skin, hair, and nails. The streamlined pre-analytics cuts sample-prep to ~30 minutes (vs ~60 with conventional methods) and slots cleanly into qPCR/NGS pipelines. Download the poster to see the step map, specimen coverage, and integration notes.

At Xpedite Diagnostics, we develop a rapid DNA extraction workflow for mycological diagnostics that yields PCR and NGS-ready DNA from challenging, keratinized matrices—including skin, hair, and nails. By streamlining the pre-analytical phase, the workflow reduces sample-prep time to ~30 minutes (vs. ~60 minutes with conventional spin-column methods), supporting reliable detection across qPCR and sequencing workflows and integrating cleanly into existing laboratory processes.

The poster, made by Andy Wende and Johannes Graf, was presented  by Stephen Hennart at MYK2025 in Cologne and is now available for consultation. Explore the workflow and results behind this novel point-of-care DNA extraction approach for diverse specimen types (hair, nails, skin, swabs, FFPE, and liquids).
