SwiftX DNA is designed to enable extraction of bacterial, parasite, virus, animal and human DNA from a broad range of sample types. The key advantage of our extraction solution over other rapid DNA isolation methods is our Reverse Purification technology, which actively removes impurities such as cell debris, proteins and carbohydrates from the lysate.
Solid samples such as swabs or tissue biopsies but also small volumes of liquids can be directly extracted and are ready for amplification in as little as 5 minutes.
The protocol for liquid specimens includes a centrifugation-free cell capture step upfront to the lysis of cells for efficient DNA isolation from urine, saliva and whole blood. This allows for concentration of cellular particles and removal of the sample matrix with all the inhibitors therein. The lysis step then releases the DNA and the reverse purification finally removes the cell debris. All done in a few easy steps and in about 15 minutes.
