Xpedite Announces SwiftX Validation Program, a Travel Grant for Early-Career Researchers to Present at ESCMID 2026

Early-career researchers can now apply for a €2500 travel grant, free SwiftX™ kits, and technical support to present their work at ESCMID 2026.

Xpedite Diagnostics has officially launched the SwiftX™ Validation Program, a competitive opportunity designed to support early-career researchers working in infectious disease, molecular diagnostics, and related fields. As part of the program, selected participants will receive up to €2500 travel grant to attend and present at ESCMID Global 2026, one of the most prestigious congresses in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. 

In addition to the grant, selected researchers will gain free access to Xpedite’s advanced SwiftX™ DNA extraction kits and receive personalized technical support throughout their validation projects.

The SwiftX™ Validation Program is open to early-career researchers working with challenging sample matrices such as plasma, serum, wastewater, or whole blood, in fields including: 

  • Liquid biopsy and cfDNA 
  • Infectious disease diagnostics 
  • Antimicrobial resistance 
  • Wastewater-based epidemiology 
  • Sepsis and clinical microbiology 

Applicants are required to submit a brief project description, research objectives, and timeline for execution (planned for Q3-Q4 2025). Only 10 research projects will be selected based on feasibility and scientific relevance.
