Xpedite Diagnostics at 200 Years Theodor Bilharz in Tübingen

Xpedite Diagnostics will be at the 200 Years Theodor Bilharz symposium in Tübingen, October 8–10, presenting new advances in schistosomiasis and field diagnostics. Meet our team to discuss rapid DNA/RNA extraction technologies that support better diagnostics and global health.

Xpedite Diagnostics will join the 200 Years Theodor Bilharz symposium in Tübingen, October 8–10, commemorating two centuries of progress in schistosomiasis research in Germany and beyond.

The meeting brings together leading experts in parasitology, field epidemiology, and global health to discuss advances in schistosomiasis biology, surveillance, and diagnostics—as well as strategies to improve access to testing in endemic settings.

Xpedite Diagnostics will contribute with several posters on schistosomiasis diagnostics and field-ready molecular workflows on rapid nucleic acid extraction approaches that streamline sample-to-answer times for challenging specimens, alongside an oral presentation.

These are the posters we presented:

We will showcase how deployable laboratory solutions and our SwiftX™ DNA/RNA extraction toolkit enable faster, simpler, and more robust detection across point-of-need and low-resource environments—supporting researchers, clinicians, and public health programs.

Andy Wende and Stéphen Hennart will represent Xpedite Diagnostics in Tübingen and are available to discuss collaborations, study design, and implementation for schistosomiasis and other tropical disease diagnostics.

With appreciation to the organizers:

  • Institute for Tropical Medicine, Travel Medicine and Human Parasitology, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen
  • Institute of Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene, Technical University of Munich
  • Institute of Parasitology, Justus Liebig University Giessen
  • Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné (CERMEL), Gabon

Join us in Tübingen to explore the future of field diagnostics and molecular workflows for global health.
