Xpedite Diagnostics is presenting at 1st WHO Skin NTD Meeting

Xpedite Diagnostics has attended the first WHO meeting on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) of the skin. Our founder, Dr. Andy Wende, has been given the opportunity to present the company and our SwiftX technology.

The first global meeting on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) of the skin was held on March 27-31 at the WHO headquarter in Geneva, Switzerland. About 800 participants gathered on-site and on-line to exchange approaches & strategies, and results of their work to tackle the global problem of skin NTDs such a Leprosy, Leishmaniasis, Buruli ulcer, Yaws, and many more.

For the session on diagnostics of skin NTDs, Xpedite Diagnostics has been given the opportunity to present its SwiftX technology for rapid extraction of nucleic acids from various specimens. We gave insight of how the technology works, how easy it can be used, and how well it is applicable for molecular testing of multiple skin NTDs. The meeting has been recorded and can be watched on YouTube in the NTD world channel.

The talk given by Dr. Andy Wende on SwiftX technology is the last presentation in the recording of Session 1 of March 30 starting at 2h 24min 34sec.
